Music Ministry

The Music Ministry enhances our liturgical experiences by lifting joyful voices to the Lord. We invite the assembly to become full, active participants in the liturgy by praising and worshiping God through song. Music Ministry is open to all who like to sing or play an instrument and are willing to attend scheduled practices. Contact: Please cal our office  909-338-2303

Lectors / Readers

Readers proclaim the Living word to the assembly. Through them God speaks to the gathered faithful. The ministry is open to reliable, practicing adult Catholics registered in the parish who love scripture. Contact: Dcn. Rick Bassford 909 338-4017

Pro-Life Rosary

Unite as a community praying the Rosary for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. The recitation of the Rosary. No experience required. Mentors provided. Contact the coordinators.

Eucharistic Adoration

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Men’s Group

All men are welcome!  Join us for coffee, a light breakfast, socialization, and engaging (no pressure) conversation about our faith in a relaxed environment. Questions? Please email the coordinator for future dates.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life. 

 (Pastoral Council) Combined Ministry Council

The Combined Ministry Council, otherwise known as the Pastoral Council, is a volunteer organization made up of the ministry captains who preside over the various ministries groups listed above. They are chosen by the members of the ministries under their umbrella and serve as an advisory group to our pastor for a period of three years. The council’s primary responsibility is guiding the spiritual direction of the parish by supporting our ministries and implementing programs that advance the spiritual wellbeing of all members of our parish community. Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Held Friday evenings at 6:30PM in the Chapel during Lent.

All women are welcome! Gatherings are on occasion and announced in the bulletin and in this space when scheduled. For more information, please email us. 

Ushers/Greeters

We are the church members that give the first impression to new and visiting Catholics at our parish Liturgies as well as warm and friendly greetings at our parish events. Our purpose is to make sure that first impression is kind and welcoming. We assist new members with any questions they may have and direct them to the appropriate contacts for their needs. We are looking for reliable, warm, and friendly people. Training is offered through the parish and the diocese.

 

 

 

Altar Server

Altar Servers assist the priest or deacon during all liturgical services. Altar serving is open to all responsible members who have received their 1st Holy Communion. All Liturgical Ministries require training. Initial training is offered through our parish. Contact: Dcn. Rick Bassford 909 338-4017

Altar Society

The Altar Society spends about two hour every Monday Morning making sure our parish and church facilities are clean and ready to enjoy. After the work is done we pray together and share a meal. The only requirement we have to join is to show up! Supplies, fun and fellowship are provided. Our wonderful group also goes on a couple of trips a year just for fun! Contact our Secretary

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.  This ministry helps to prepares parents, godparents and families for the responsibilities and commitments in Baptism for infants and children. The Baptism Prep Team offers an eight hour course that can be arranged to fit the family’s personal schedule. Contact:   Parish Office, 909 338-2303

Eucharistic Minister

Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of Eucharistic Ministers the Body and Blood of Christ at all masses. This ministry is open to all adult practicing Catholics in the parish who love the Eucharist. Altar Servers Altar Servers Altar Servers assist the priest or deacon during all liturgical services. Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Fellowship Committee

Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.

Flowers and Grounds

Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.

Greeters

Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.

Hospitality

This ministry began by providing receptions after funerals as a way of assisting grieving families in a time of emotional need. We have since expanded to include receptions after First Communion, Confirmation and to celebrate those entering the Church on Easter Vigil. Food is provided by our ministry members but donations often cover our expenses. A manual is available for training. We are looking for people who are compassionate and friendly and like to cook! Marriage Preparation

 The Marriage Prep Team meets with engaged couples to prepare them for the commitment of marriage by looking closely at Catholic teaching and their personal experience. Our team has from five to sixty-five years of marriage experience! Couples seeking preparation or wanting to join the team contact:  Call the parish office at 909 338-2303

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. 

RCIA provides an opportunity for non-Catholics to RCIA explore the teachings of the Catholic Church while giving baptized Catholics an opportunity to complete their sacramental preparations for First Communion and Confirmation. It is a basic inquiry program open to anyone who has an interest in discovering the truths of our Catholic faith and wants to learn more about Catholic tradition, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and Sacred Scripture. Religious Education

The Religious Education program offers catechetical instruction for our children and youth from kindergarten through high school. The program includes preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Volunteers need not have a background in education. Our teachers are trained through the Diocese with workshops offered throughout the year, and here at St. Frances X. Cabrini. The “Safe Environment” course and a background check are required. Sacristan

Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

Soup Kitchen

Provides hot meals on a monthly basis to the homeless.

 

Fund Raisers

The fundraising committee takes the leadership role in all parish fundraising endeavors. These include the Spaghetti Dinner, Taco Dinner, St. Patrick’s Day Party, St. Frances Cabrini Birthday barbeque, the MSC Annual Golf Tournament and many other worthy undertakings. Proceeds benefit the parish and its wider interests. We always need volunteers! Everyone is encouraged to sign up for this important ministry.

Pancake Breakfast

The purpose of this ministry is to provide regular parish hospitality. It gives us a chance to get to know one another better and get acquainted with new members. We have a pancake breakfast the first Sunday of each month from 9:00 to 12 noon. We meet once a month an hour before the start of the breakfast. The proper handling of food is all the training needed and we will train anyone interested in joining our group of happy chefs! Contact: Dean Chamberlin 909 338-6178
